The Zoo is a living class room with 138 different animal species, over 860 animals and an array of different simulated habitats.
The Discovery and Learning Centre can provide a fun and interactive experience with:
• experienced, qualified, specialist educators
• curriculum based education, specifically designed to meet individual classes' requirements
• teaching areas designed to represent different ecosystems
• exciting informal education opportunities throughout the day
• special discounted education rates
• Ministry of Education LEOTC provider.

Visiting Teachers' Competition
Teachers participating in pre-booked education sessions (who return their completed evaluation forms immediately after their sessions) go into a draw each term for a family pass to the Zoo!
