Remembering Kashin
Celebrating Kashin – Saturday 28 August 2010
Kashin the elephant was such an important member of the Auckland Zoo family, and her passing in August 2009 affected not only zoo staff, but many Aucklanders.
One year on, we're celebrating Kashin with a day of activities. The Asian-themed day will feature performers including acrobats and traditional dancers. Visitors will be able to visit Kashin's gravesite, take in the elephant encounter, and enjoy a number of other activities. Click here for more information...
Thank you to everyone who attended Kashin's memorial day on Sunday 30 August 2009.
